Hurricane Expo
Be one of the first 500 people to the show on Saturday, August 28, 10am-5pm and receive a free hurricane kit through our annual Hurricane Expo!
Each kit will contain:
- One (1) flashlight with 2 D-batteries provided by Charleston True Value Hardware
- Two (2) dust masks (to be used during clean up) provided by Bartlett Tree Services
- Two (2) 33-gallon garbage bags (for clean up or carrying various supplies) provided by
1st Class Painting & Restoration
- One (1) can opener provided by Ace Preferred Inspections
- One (1) pair of brown jersey gloves (for picking up debris) provided by Shutter Sales & Service
- One (1) combination emergency whistle / flashlight provided by Kevin Shealy Allstate Insurance
- One (1) bottle of hand sanitizer provided by 1-800 Water Damage
- One (1) 42-piece first aid kit (for minor cuts and scrapes) provided by Alpha Tree Care
- One (1) SCDOT full-size evacuation map of South Carolina provided by SC Highway Patrol
- One (1) Storm Team 2 Hurricane Calendar
- One (1) emergency whistle / flashlight / keychain provided by Charleston County
Emergency Management-CERT
- One (1) emergency rain poncho provided by CT Lowndes Insurance
- One (1) box of waterproof matches provided by Express Sunrooms
- One (1) waterproof pet evacuation kit provided by Charleston County Sheriff's Office--Animal Control
- One (1) document clip (to keep important documents and receipts organized) provided
by Priesters Custom Contracting
- One (1) bottle of sunscreen and bottled water provided by Publix Supermarkets
- One (1) 5-gallon plastic bucket which will serve as the container for all the hurricane kit items (or to
carry water, supplies, etc.) provided by Charleston True Value Hardware
- One (1) signaling whistle to alert emergency responders provided by
SC Department of Natural Resources
- One (1) 18-hour glow stick (to provide light when power goes out)
- One (1) pair of latex gloves (for handling contaminated debris or for medical use)
